How to check pickup topper fit before you order

A pickup model name alone is rarely enough to choose a topper. Before requesting a quote, record the make, model and model year, then measure the cargo bed you actually have. Bed lengths can vary within a model range, and aftermarket equipment can change the available space.

Measure the inside length and width of the bed, and photograph the rails, tailgate and any bed liner. If you have a roll bar, roof rack, tonneau fittings, tie-down points or other accessories, include clear photos and dimensions. This gives the supplier a useful starting point for checking mounting and access.

Next, decide what you need the topper to do. Think about how often you will install or remove it, whether you need access through side windows, and how you will store it when deflated. Do not assume that visible roof attachment points are rated for carrying equipment; request written load limits and approved use instructions for your exact configuration.

Ask for a drawing that shows the confirmed dimensions, fixing method, inflation instructions and opening positions before production.
